Naughty or Nice Challenge #33 - Don't Pull Your Punches!

Hello peeps!

We've been getting really great submissions! Let's keep them coming! This month it's all about punches, dies and die-cuts over here at Naughty or Nice Challenges.  Dust them off if you usually don't use them and don't be afraid to join in! If you're a veteran, we want to see your work too :)

Check out what our fantastic DT came up with this month and leave some love when you go visit their blogs. Remember to follow the rules that are listed below the DT matserpieces when you enter (I know, I know, they are there to be broken, but we cannot crown you the biggest troublemaker if you don't....) You have until November 25 to join in, so get scrappin'!

Turns out the phrase 'don't pull your punches' is a boxing term: when you pull a punch you don't hit the other fighter as hard as you can. It also means to hold back from doing or saying what you really think, not being completely honest so you won't hurt somebody's feelings. When you don't pull any punches you are frank, honest!
So, during November, we'd like to see your creations with punched shapes and die-cuts aplenty, and if you choose to be brutally honest (don't mince words, sugar coat, water down, pander or sweeten the pill) we'd love that too!
Here's some inspiration from the team to get you in the mood!

Naughty or Nice Challenge #32 - Spooky Sistahs and Wild, Wild, Women!

Hi, it's Jo here to introduce the new challenge. For our super, fun October theme the Troublemakers are celebrating women both witchy and wild!

With Halloween only a few weeks away most of us have gone all spooky and witchy but your card could just as easily feature a crazy cat lady or a bunch of lively ladies on a girl's night out!

Being a Brit, I always tend to think of Halloween as an American celebration which is gaining popularity in the UK. However, after a little research I've discovered that Halloween may have started as a festival called ‘Samhain’, meaning Summer’s end, celebrated by the Celts each year on November 1st. The Celts believed that on this day, the veil between the dead and the living was at its thinnest. It turns out that trick-and-treating and carrying lanterns can actually be traced back to Scotland, specifically the poem ‘Halloween’ by Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Halloween's traces in America go back to colonial settlers but it was the second half of the 19th century where celebrations became more widespread, according to history.com. As more immigrants, particularly from Ireland and Scotland, arrived the spooky celebrations became more popular and traditions such as 'trick or treating' began.
OK, history lesson over, now let's see the fabulous cards conjured-up by my talented ghoulfriends and, BTW, we're using our top-secret witch names during this spooky and magical month. Can you guess which witch is which???
