Naughty or Nice Challenge #32 - Spooky Sistahs and Wild, Wild, Women!

Hi, it's Jo here to introduce the new challenge. For our super, fun October theme the Troublemakers are celebrating women both witchy and wild!

With Halloween only a few weeks away most of us have gone all spooky and witchy but your card could just as easily feature a crazy cat lady or a bunch of lively ladies on a girl's night out!

Being a Brit, I always tend to think of Halloween as an American celebration which is gaining popularity in the UK. However, after a little research I've discovered that Halloween may have started as a festival called ‘Samhain’, meaning Summer’s end, celebrated by the Celts each year on November 1st. The Celts believed that on this day, the veil between the dead and the living was at its thinnest. It turns out that trick-and-treating and carrying lanterns can actually be traced back to Scotland, specifically the poem ‘Halloween’ by Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Halloween's traces in America go back to colonial settlers but it was the second half of the 19th century where celebrations became more widespread, according to history.com. As more immigrants, particularly from Ireland and Scotland, arrived the spooky celebrations became more popular and traditions such as 'trick or treating' began.
OK, history lesson over, now let's see the fabulous cards conjured-up by my talented ghoulfriends and, BTW, we're using our top-secret witch names during this spooky and magical month. Can you guess which witch is which???

in our current FOOD AND DRINK challenge!

Running late, but here at last are our picks for the Naughty or Nice August challenge: Your Number's Up! Be sure to read right to the end of the post to see if you're the lucky winner of the August prize offered in honour of our 30th challenge!
So many great cards last month — we have such talented players! But tough decisions were made, and here are our choices for the sweet and the saucy.

NICE:
Lisa!!!!
Lisa's sweet anniversary card maxed out the niceness for us! Here's another look at her gorgeous card:

NAUGHTY
Terri!!!
Terri had all the Troublemakers giggling with her cheeky card. Believe me, you need to go to her blog and read the inside sentiment to fully appreciate her naughty sense of humour! Here's a reminder of the front of Terri's card:

Congratulations to Lisa and Terri, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us last month. For our picks, here are your winner badges:

But wait, there's more!!! We offered up a fun set of birthday stamps from Art Impressions to one lucky participant. Using a scientifically-tested random-number generator (Troublemaker Jo asked her husband to pick a number between 1 and 11), we calculated our winner. With appropriate drumroll noises, our winner is...

#11 — MARINA!!!

Congratulations, Marina! Please contact Jo at dottypudding at aol dot com to arrange for your prize delivery.
Remember there is still time to play in our current challenge: FOOD AND DRINK

Naughty or Nice Challenge #31 - Food and Drink.

Holy crap! It's September already?! Last night my son was even surprised by how quick time sneaks up on you...and he's only six LOL

This month's theme is all about FOOD or DRINK. Lots of possibilities with this one, crafty friends, and we hope that you are able to join us!  Remember that in order to be chose as the naughtiest or nicest troublemaker, you MUST follow the rules (psst...pay very close attention to the one about the number of entries).

Naughty or Nice Challenge #30 - Reminder

We've reached the middle of August and this can only mean one thing: It's challenge reminder time!

Each time I see Danielle's graphic it totally cracks me up! And I have to say that the Troublemakers creations for this challenge have also generated plenty of giggles, chuckles and embarrassing nose-snorts!

Our theme is all about numbers; so your cards need to be age-related or have a number or numbers on them. And don't forget, there's a prize by way of celebration of this being Challenge #30. I know milestones are usually celebrated with champagne or sparkling wine but a cute stamp set from Art Impressions is so much easier to send in the mail! Anyone entering the challenge will go into the draw for this prize.

Wanna see some great cards? Of course you do...

Lindsey

So, why not join in the fun and come play along with Challenge #30!
